Here are this week's auditionees who have been under the spotlight...


Leonna, 20
Shop assistant, Leonna brought her entire family for support as she goes for the auditions.  Her family are confident that she can go all the way in this competition.  Leonna performs a great version on 'Son-of-a Preacher Man' in front of the judges.  The judges thought she needed a bit of work to her vocals but even though Louis said no, Sharon and Simon decided to put her through.

David, 46
This strange looking auditionee believes her has the X Factor and decided to come to the audition for money and brought his guitar.  But it wasn't much of an audition because he was talking rather than singing (he didn't even play his guitar).  But the judges saw the audition pointless!

Jamie, 16
With the support of his parents, they say that he was born to sing.  He says that he would love to win the X Factor and have hit singles and albums.  In front of the judges a Stevie Wonder number.  The judges had mixed feelings over the performance and the judges all turned him down.

Gemma, 23
Receptionist Gemma the competition means a lot to her.  She performed her version of 'Summer Time' by Ella Fitzgerald.  The judges were happy with the performance and the judges were happy to her through.

Dennis, 26
Music student and Russian Dennis is determined to win the The X Factor and reckons if is successful in the UK, he will be successful in Russia.  After his performance of 'Escape' by Enrique Iglesias and his dance moves.  The judges were confused.  They thought his performance was horrible and were happy to say no.

Deborah, 47
Deborah has come all the way from San Antonio, Texas not to be here in this competition!  It was because she met a British man called David...and it is thanks to her singing voice! It so happened that the X Factor auditions were taking place.  She sang the LeAnn Rimes, 'How Do I Live'.  What did the judges think?  Louis said yes, Simon turned her down but Sharon decided to say yes and so she was through!

Roxanne, 47
Roxanne was in a major bomb explosion which took place over 30 years ago when she was just 14. She had to delay her singing career because she was too frightened to be in crowds.  But today, she is here to show what she can sing in the auditions.  After performing 'Show Me Heaven', the judges were once again mixed, Louis said yes, Simon said no and Sharon was once again left in a difficult decision but she decided to agree with Louis to put her through.

Frankie
The colourful and karaoke addict, Frankie is determined to show all to the judges over his singing ability and claimed that fans have told him that he is more than the karaoke singer.  After trying out DJ Otzi's 'Hey Baby', the judges thought his performance was terrible and all of them said no.

Eton Road
This group only formed five days ago and have been working hard to reharse and perform in front of the judges.  They all perform a tune from the film, 'Leap Of Faith'.  The judges were happy with the performance and Louis event thought they were four hairdressers!  But he took it back to agree with the rest of the judges that they should go through.

Steve
Part-time warehouse worker, Steve has always wanted to be a singer and have a long career and a legend. His performed 'Sleeping With The Light On' by Busted.  But the judges were far from impressed and believed the voice was rubbish...Steve claimed that he was trained by a vocal coach...no good!

Debbie, 18
Debbie has to be by means one of the most controversial contestants. She believes she is the one who has the talent, the one who can make crowds scream and the one who has everything...she is very confident. She was there to impress the judges as she is amazing. Debbie performed 'When You Believe' by Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey. But what did the judges think? Sharon thought it was okay, Simon thought it was pub singer and Louis said she was not good. Debbie was hitting back at Louis claiming she was singing was good. Sharon removed her from the audition room but Debbie came back to throw water over Louis, but before she even could, Louis threw his glass of water...some attitude, eh?

Kerry, 18
Kerry wants to put Grimsby on the map and believes she could be the next Britney!  She prepared herself and went into the audition to perform one of Britney's hit, 'Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman'.  But she was out of tune, and the judges did not approve and she was sent off.

Ceri, 50
Remember Ceri?  She took part in The X Factor last year and will be most remembered for performing her audition without teeth!  Well she is back with teeth this time to try to prove the judges wrong!  She performs 'When You Tell Me That You Love Me', but what did the judges think this year?  Simon thought it was worse than last year, Sharon thought she was better but she still said no.  Louis agreed but said no.  Although Sharon thought Simon could be nicer.

Mark, 42
Mark claims that he has been look wise compared to Cliff Richard, voice wise Freddie Mercuury and Bob Marley (and when he sings Cher, he sounds like Cher!).  He performed Cher's 'Believe' and his performance did sound a bit like Cher but the judges were speechless...and had a laugh.  But the overall picture was there was no chance.

Tracey, 23
Tracey has two kids and is a housewife and loves singing and wants to give it a go.  She even went to have a hug with Simon.  She performed 'I'm In Chains' and the judges had to think for a bit...Tracey is prepared to work hard for this.  Simon decided to say yes, Louis said no but Sharon decided to give her a chance and so she is through!

Milkman Chris said he likes Meat Loaf and decides to sing a Michael Bolton number.  Louis thought it was an unusual choice and Simon was not impressed and Sharon was the same.  But Louis thought he would mention that he would have put him through, but that was irrelevant anyway.

Shaney D, 22
Rapper Shaney went to the audition with a portable stereo but that couldn't be used and so he rapped without music.  The judges were not sure of the audition and so they said no...but Shane decided to attack Simon over his audition.

Fusion: Lauren and Francesca, 17
The two blonde girls are not sisters but friends.  The pair sing 'Tell Him' by Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion. But Simon thought they were over the top and screamed...but Simon could see something and decided to give them a chance to come back and sort out their singing.  Later, they returned with 'This Too Shall Pass' by Yolande Adams and they did sing a bit better.  Louis and Sharon were not sure.  But at the end, Louis said yes, Sharon said no, and Paula said yes.  Simon was left with the decision and said yes but warned that they must no mess about with the image.

Lian, 22

Lian will always be remembered for having the shortest audition ever in the X Factor history! Before the audition, she was more excited than nervous and is almost speechless.  She went in singing 'What A Feeling' and even with that Simon stopped her and said no immediately without the other judges giving a chance to have their say...yes you heard it right out.  And the audition lasted just 21 seconds!
