Tim believes the way that you get through to perform is to get the rhythm of the song in your head! During performance, Tim dances well, but sings poorly...the judges just didn't know what to say!

Sean, 16
Sean is only 16 years of age and once he faced the judges got really nervous. Sharon suggested that he take some fresh air to calm down before going to the audition room. This time, he did impress the judges and got through! But they were concerned that he may be fragile.

Pure Liberty: Karen, Claudia and Natasha
Pure Liberty are a sister trio who faced the judges and guest, Paula Abdul. They sounded soulful and impressed the judges especially Simon who thought that the vocal harmony were outstanding!

Leona, 21
Leona, a receptionist, took on the audition stage to perform 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' who were blown away. They had no problem putting her through to the next round.

Donna, 54
Donna who had a specially printed picture of herself on her suit was ready to perform Madonna's (a surprise?)'Like A Prayer' in front of the judges. But the judges' didn't like the vocals. Donna offered to sing another tune, and even when she begged the judges' were having none of it! It even got Paula in a fit of laughter!

Francesco, 39
Folk-lift driver, Francesco performed a version of 'You Raise Me Up' that was probably one of the most sleepy versions according to the judges! But that is not what sort of pop star they are looking for!

Juliana, 21
Student, Juliana is a huge Mariah Carey fan. But the judges' were not impressed with her version of 'Hero' and personally thought it didn't sound like the tune at all. They thought her singing was a bit shaky too and they laughed.

Onkar, 39
Factory worker, Onkar will be perhaps remembered for his rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Earth Song'. As well as falling down on his knees, he even hit the set behind him and thought it was a wall! The judges definitely didn't accept his application...but the production team had to repair the set!

Jonathan has always dreamed of performing in front of a live audience and by demonstrating that in front of the judges, it was enough to impress when he performed a swing tune.

When Lorraine begins singing Simon started to laugh at the performance in front of her mother-in-law, Edna who wasn't impressed at all. But Edna didn't end there, she went back to give Simon a right telling off!
