Aldo Zilli
Aldo is one of eleven children born in Abruzzo, Italy. He moved to England in 1976 and owns many restaurants in London and they all have 'Zilli' in their title! Aldo is no stranger to TV and has had a series of his own including One man and his hob with Aldo & Friends, Aldo's Italian Job and Perfect Pasta with Aldo Zilli. He has also appeared as a guest presenter in Dinner Dates in 2004 as well as a guest in BBC's Food And Drink. He has also appeared in the reality TV show, Celebrity Fit Club. He has also appeared in Three Chefs in the Cape with fellow X Factor team mate, Ross Burden.
Jean-Christophe Novelli
Jean-Christophe is a Four Star Michelin star chef. He has flair in his kitchen and this is demonstrated in front of a live sutdio audience. Novelli moved to London in 1993 and became head chef at the Four Seasons Hotel. In 1996, he opened his own restaurant, Maison Novelli in Clarkenwell and not long after he expanded his restaurants across London and even in Cape Town, South Africa. Famous faces have come to his restaurants including the current Prime Minister, Tony Blair, David Bowie and Geri Halliwell. In 2005, Jean-Christophe took part in the reality TV show, Hell's Kitchen with his fellow (and rival) chef, Gary Rhodes.
Paul Rankin
Paul's promotion of Northern Ireland's cuisine was taken by storm more than 15 years ago. He has award-winning restaurants and cafes and a range of Irish foods. Paul and his wife, Jeanne opened their restaurant 'Roscoff' and a year later it was awarded it's first Michelin star. It was only after that they were approached for TV work. Paul's TV show, 'Gourmet Ireland' concentrated in using local and fresh ingredients from Ireland. Paul later joined the Ready, Steady, Cook team on the BBC. He has also appeared on Masterchef, The Good Food Show and America's Today Show.
Ross Burden
Ross' career as a TV chef took off when he won Masterchef in 1993. Ross is used to being in front of the TV cameras and has done so since the age of 17. Ross studied in New Zealand in university with the degree of Zoology. But since then, he has previously signed up with a model agency and appeared in many advertising campaigns. Little know that Ross is fluent in Maori which is spoken in New Zealand. Ross admits speaking very bad Italian and is currently learning French.
