Beverley voted out by deadlock
24 November 2007, 9:34PM

Beverley Trotman has been voted out by pulling the lowest votes by the public after the judges failed to make a majority vote over her and group Hope in tonight's Final Showdown.  The two acts got the lowest votes this week and it was the judges who had to decide.

Louis Walsh kept Beverley, while Simon Cowell kept Hope.  Dannii Minogue chose to send home Hope while Sharon Osbourne who said she would be the most impartial judge in the panel chose to send home Beverley meaning the first ever Deadlock result had to be made in which the act with the lowest votes by the public would be sent home.  The result was Beverley.  This did not go down well with the audience with Louis claiming that the wrong decision had been made and Simon could only just smile about the result.

This leaves Louis with just one act in the competition, while Dannii and Simon hang on with their two remaining acts.  This means that the final five standings for next week's live show is as follows.

Boys:
LEON JACKSON
RHYDIAN ROBERTS

25 and over:
NIKI EVANS

Groups:
HOPE
SAME DIFFERENCE
