Kimberley's post-performance reaction

Kimberley Southwick is the first contestant to go home after she lost her Final Showdown battle with Alisha Bennett. Two of Sharon's acts pulled the lowest votes in the competition where Kimberley had to perform 'It's Raining Men' and Alisha had to perform 'Dreams'. Both had criticism from the judges for their choice of song and felt that they were much better than that.
In a sensational twist, Sharon declared on the show "I'm out - gone!" to host Dermot O'Leary after declaring that she had quit the show live. With no further support from her Alisha and Kimberley had to solely depend on the judges to save them for next week. At the end, Louis' casting vote sent Kimberley home.
Kimberley spoke of her first reaction to decision: "I was completely gutted. And it was between me and Alisha and that’s what I was upset about. We’ve been best mates throughout this experience. I met her at the very first part of bootcamp and obviously we shared a room in LA. We’re roomies just now. So that was the worst situation we could possibly have been in."
She revealed that Sharon did not want to speak after the show: "Not really. She didn’t want to speak, she was really upset, all she wanted to do was curl up in her bed, bless her. We had a bit of a chat and a bit of a cry. And I said to her, ‘girl you really need to win it now’!"
Asked what she would have done differently she said: "I wouldn’t have sung that song, It's Raining Men, I would have chosen a belter which would have showed I can sing. A power ballad. And the choreography didn’t help, because I had so much to think about. But it all comes together for a good performance, and I’m a performer. I’m there to entertain people. I wanted to go out with a bang and I think I did that."
Asked whether Sharon was serious about leaving the show, Kimberley said: " really don’t know, you know what she’s like…She was very upset but I don’t know whether she’d be that drastic."
And as for what she would be doing next? "I’ll take each day as it comes, Everything happens for a reason. I don’t think I’ll be on the X Factor Tour because I think it’s only the final eight, which I’m gutted about. But I’d like to do something to do with musicals, because I love being on stage."
