Alisha's post-performance reaction

Alisha Bennett is the latest contestant to be sent home from the competition. She along with group Hope pulled the lowest votes this week and both had to face the final showdown. Alisha performed 'Young Hearts Run Free' while Hope performed 'Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (A Man After Midnight)'.
When it came down to the judges choices, Simon Cowell saved his group and Sharon Osbourne saved Alisha. Dannii Minogue found it difficult to choose finally opting for Alisha to go home. Louis Walsh was the decider and he did not think that either act deserved to be in the bottom two. In fact, he admitted that he hated making the decision and voted Alisha out of the competition.
Asked if she would have done anything differently, Alisha said: "A little part of me wishes I could have shown more of me. You get more comfortable as the weeks go on. It was a great learning curve - a couple of weeks ago I was just a receptionist and now I’m all about VTs and interviews and routining! All the stuff that I’ve learnt is amazing. Now I just know I want it even more now."
Asked about the criticisms of the rollerskaters who performed on stage, Alisha said: "I thought it was a bit harsh because I have no say in what goes on, you know, I wish I did! But Brian’s a great choreographer who knows what he’s doing. You try things and it just didn’t work this time around. I was happy with it."
And with Simon's comments: "Ah, I dunno. As Sharon says, it is a TV programme. You know I had so much fun, I am upset that the whole X Factor bubble will be over."
Alisha was asked if she was happy with the song choice: "I was I enjoyed it. I was in my element in disco week. I had so much fun! They fluffed up my afro, had a gorgeous frock on – on my heart, I had a really good time!" And asked what she thought about the results called out: "Awful, as usual! But it happens so quickly, and you’re straight on to performing again. I always sing better the second time around.. the human body is very weird."
Finally Alisha was asked what her best experience was, she said: "My best moment of the whole thing was the week I sang Valerie, and I didn’t end up in the bottom two. I felt so lucky and so happy to be there. It was the best feeling in the world!"
