Rhydian Roberts, one of the 14-24 boys mentored by Dannii Minogue has said he feels his chances of survival in the competition have been compromised because of the coverage given to him by producers in the earlier shows.
Such is his concerns he feels he may be a victim of an early vote off as the public may perceive him negatively. Rhydian spoke to Digital Spy: "I really feel that I'll be going this week. I hope not, but I've prepared myself for a sing-off. Because of the kind of press coverage I've had and the way the show went, I'm the pantomime villain. If I was watching that show and I didn’t know who I was, I wouldn't vote for me on the basis of what I saw. I don't have any control about the way I'm edited. The TV company has taken it down a certain road – people have got certain stories, I don't, so they're making me into the villain."
Rhydian further added: "I am confident as a singer, but I'm different as a person. Arrogance gets you nowhere in life. Hopefully I can redeem myself in the live show.”
