Aaron Delahunty, one of the members of group finalist, Futureproof revealed how he had a difficult childhood.
Aaron spoke of the past: "Her [Aaron's mother] drug habit meant she couldn't look after me and my dad wasn't capable of doing it on his own. I don't remember much of that time. I'm still in touch with my old man. But I haven't spoken to my mum since I went to see her last year." Aaron's mother has been drug free since 2003. Aaron added: "She's a big fan of X Factor and I know she'll be watching. So obviously I'm a bit upset that she hasn't been in contact since I've been on the show."
Aaron was adopted by a family friend, Cheryl Marshall but when she passed away five years ago, Aaron stayed with her son, Nicky. Aaron praised Nicky: "Nicky's been the closest thing to a dad to me and I can't thank him enough for what he's done. I've promised him I'll buy him a Bentley if I make it."
