Alisha is eliminated from contest

Alisha Bennett is the fifth contestant to be voted out of the competition after battling in the Final Showdown for a third time with Hope being their second time. Hope were first to perform 'Gimme Gimme Gimme' while Alisha performed 'Young Hearts Run Free'. When it came to te judges, Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne saved both their acts leaving Dannii Minogue choosing Alisha to send home despite the difficult decision. This left Louis Walsh to make the final decision and this he did not like doing. He said that both acts did not deserve to be in the bottom two. He didn't like the decision either way, but chose Alisha to go home.
This means that Sharon Osbourne is eliminated from the competition at the half way point of the competition as all the girls have been eliminated altogether. This means the three remaining judges are battling to get their acts to win the competition. This is where the competition stands.
