Futureproof's post-performance reaction

Futureproof are the third act to leave the competition after a shocking result which put two of Simon's groups in the bottom two alongside Hope. These groups were created based on an idea by Louis Walsh to put failed soloists into a group. Simon could not believe the result and disagreed with the result.
The two groups performed in the Final Showdown where Futureproof performed 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You' while Hope sang 'Hanky Panky'. When it came down to the judges' votes, Louis and Sharon both voted Futureproof to go home as they felt they didn't perform their best and the dancing was criticised earlier. Dannii voted for Hope to go home. Simon was the decider and admitted that his song choices were probably to blame for the downfall of both groups. Simon based his decision on the last few weeks and the one he felt had more potential, so he sent home Futureproof.
Asked what they would have done differently, the group said: "Not really. We maybe would have spoken up more a little bit more, rather than going along with the flow about our performances. We should have spoken up more."
In terms of the result, Futureproof said: "We’re all gutted and shocked but at the same time we’re looking forward to the next challenge and we will be going full-pelt at it now really." Futureproof admitted that there was fierce competition with their rivals, Hope: "It wasn’t so much competition really as the fact we just disliked each other. We just didn’t like them and they didn’t like us."
Futureproof commented about Simon's decision: "Yes, but I respect him for that really, and the decision he made. He obviously knows what he’s doing and knows his plan for the future. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if it had gone to deadlock, if the result had to have been decided upon by the public vote. It wouldn’t have been easier for us if we’d known if that was what the public would have chosen. But we knew the score when we got involved, so we can’t complain."
Finally, asked if they would stay as a five piece band, Futureproof said: "Yes, we all want it. We all sat down as soon we were thrown out really, that was the first thing we discussed. Each of the members is up for giving it 100%. I think it will definitely pay off if we all put 100% in."
