Simon made final decision on Emily's withdrawal

According to The Sun newspaper, it was Simon Cowell who made the final decision about Emily Nankinga's future it has been revealed.
The 15 year old contestant was forced to withdraw from the competition after a "happy slapping" video showing her assaulting another girl was leaked to the press.
The newspaper reports that some producers wanted to keep Emily in the show but Simon insisted that it was not appropriate. A source told the newspaper: "Cowell told the producers that, although she is only 15 and it's a sensitive subject, she can't remain on the show. She is giving out a bad message to other teenagers who watch and may look up to her."
