Trevor McDonald would love to perform on The X Factor

It has been reported that Sir Trevor McDonald would like to do a Neil Diamond impression on The X Factor.
The newscaster's wife reportedly asked Louis Walsh that Sir Trevor is keen to appear on the next celebrity version of the show.
The Sun newspaper reports that she told Louis: "You must have Trevor on Celebrity X Factor, he’s such a big fan." And when Louis said that another series would not happen, she replied: "Oh, that’s a shame, Trevor does a great Neil Diamond."
