28/10/2003 - shane's alright!

6:55pm GMT

It seemed an unlikely situation, but it happened!  Ronan and former Boyzone member, Shane Lynch (pictured) met up last Tuesday (21st October) at a London party to promote the new boyband Phixx (who are basically the non-One True Voice members from the TV show, Popstars - The Rivals).  However on this occasion, Ronan and Shane resolved their differences and have made up after not seeing each other for two years.  Shane previously stated of Ronan that he would "...punch his lights out" after he blamed him for the break-up of Boyzone.  However, Shane wasn't really taking that seriously saying "I haven't seen Ronan for a long time.  It's been two years and when I was an angry guy I said some stupid things that I didn't really mean.  We fell out and I was delighted to see him and apologised to him.  My apology was accepted and hopefully we can move on and become the friends we always were in the past.  Ronan has been a big part in my life for so many years.  It was silly, stupid things that we fell out over.  Now we are grown on we can move on."

17/10/2003 - from good to bad!

6:35pm BST

Ronan is to make his appearance in a movie!  But he won't be a good guy!  He will be appearing alongside Vinnie Jones as an armed robber in a movie called 'Guns, Money And Home Cooking'.  The movie is all about a group of friends who decide to go into a career of crime after leaving collage.  Anna Friel (pictured) also stars in this movie.  Ronan commented about the movie: "This is a new avenue for me and I'm really excited.  The first day will be very nerve-wracking.  I hope it works out but music is still my number one priority."  Another close source commented about the choice for the role: "We wanted someone to play one of the robbers who you just wouldn't expect.  I think it's fair toy say you wouldn't tag Ronan Keating as a gun-wielding crook.  But we think it will work.  He is actually a very good actor."

The film will be directed by Nadia Tass and is due to be shot in Cornwall sometime next month.
