29/9/2003 - lost for words premieres!

6:39pm BST

Yesterday (Sunday 28th) on the radio show, Hit 40 UK, DJ Dr. Fox (pictured) played a world exclusive first play of Ronan's brand new tune, 'Lost For Words'.  We must say that this tune is very different to stuff he has done from his last two albums and has a rockier edge to it.  It also features a real guitar sound and is nothing we have heard from Ronan before!  Before the tune played, Dr. Fox managed to talk to Ronan where he was currently shooting the video for 'Lost For Words' in Italy.  Dr. Fox first asked about the new material coming, Ronan said: "I hope everyone feels it.  I've spent the last 3 months writing the album. I've had a great time doing it. It's been an adventure to say the least but a, it's a breath of fresh air for me. I'm loving the music and I think everybody that has heard it so far loves it."  Next, Ronan was asked if getting to number 1 was really important: "Yeah, I mean being diplomatic, of course I want it to go to number 1 but it's not the most important thing at the end of the day. If the album gets out there and does as well as the last two, I will be very happy."  Also at the end Ronan gave hints to when the single and album will be released.  We can now tell you that the single, 'Lost For Words' will be released in the UK on 10th November 2003 and the album 'Turn It On' will be released in the UK two weeks later on 24th November 2003!  More and more information is coming out!  As soon as further information is revealed, we'll tell you here at Ronan Keating World, so check back soon!

And if you have already listened to 'Lost For Words', don't forget to tell us what you think of the new tune by posting your messages on our Forum!

28/9/2003 - it takes two!

6:20pm BST

Ronan has recorded a duet with pop songstress LeAnn Rimes which is to feature on LeAnn Rimes' (pictured) Very Best Of album which is due out on 3rd November 2003.  The title has not been yet confirmed and there is no further information except we know that this is a brand new tune.  It has been suggested that this duet may also appear on Ronan's forthcoming album, 'Turn It On' but this is yet to be confirmed too.  Once we get all the details, we'll tell you first here at Ronan Keating World, so come back soon!!!

19/9/2003 - are you lost for words?

6:40pm BST

Another unreliable source claims that Ronan's next single may be entitled 'Lost For Words'.  It also claims that it may be released on 10th November 2003, a week before the album, 'Turn It On' is released which is once again still yet unconfirmed too that it will actually come out a week later (17th November 2003).  These sources are unofficial and may not be the final dates and could well change except for the album title.  We will be keeping a look out on the new single and album releases but as soon as more information unfolds, we'll tell you first at Ronan Keating World, so make sure you come back very soon!

18/9/2003 - listen to the real ro!

6:40pm BST

Ronan's big selling album, 'Destination' will soon be available on the brand new Super Audio CD (SACD) format!  This technology is a brand new format of the standard CD created by Sony and Philips and uses a new recording technology called Direct Stream Digital which is in technical terms able to produce a much higher frequency range than a standard CD.  In short, it sounds much better than your standard CD because it sounds as original from the day it was recorded!  SACDs can be played on any standard CD player.  The SACD version of 'Destination' is released on 13th October 2003 in Europe and South-east Asia.  Ronan's forthcoming new album 'Turn It On' due out end of the year will also be available on SACD.  We'll keep you up to date regarding this release so come back soon!

17/9/2003 - songwriting success!

6:47pm BST

Yesterday (16th September 2003), Ronan attended the BMI European Awards which took place at the Dorchester Hotel, London, UK.  He was presented with the Country Songwriter's Award for his tune, 'The Long Goodbye'!  The tune was successful in the US and was recorded by country duo, Brooks & Dunn.  The tune has been played across US Radio stations and was played a total of 1,298,670 times!  The tune also was number 1 in the US Country Chart and was a Billboard Top 40.  This version can be found from Brooks & Dunn's album, 'Steers & Stripes'.  We at Ronan Keating World would like to congratulate Ronan for winning this special award and hope that this is a platform to more songwriting for his future tunes!

Last Tuesday (2nd September), Ronan attended the GQ Men Of The Year Awards at the Royal Opera House, London, UK.  But, Ronan wasn't there to present an award to a man though, instead he presented the Woman Of The Year awards to the gorgeous looking Heidi Klum (pictured with Ronan).  Ronan attended with his wife, Yvonne and there were famous guests there including Jay Kay (of Jamiroquai) who won the Most Stylish award, and Ant McPartlin who picked up the Personality Of The Year award for Ant & Dec.

It's has been officially confirmed that Ronan's brand new album will be titled 'Turn It On'.  The album is expected to be released at the end of this year, although an unconfirmed release date has been put as 17th November 2003.  The album is in its final stages and shall be rolled out soon!!!  The album will see a much more rockier sound to it and Ronan has put more input into it this time round.  So get ready for this eagerly awaited release very soon!  Keep coming back to Ronan Keating World as we get closer to exciting things!

10/9/2003 - europe's young talent

6:25pm BST

It's been speculated that Ronan will be hosting the first ever Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2003 which will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark on 15th November 2003.  If this is true, then Ronan will be the first ever presenter to host both Eurovision Song Contests.  He presented the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, Ireland (click here for more info on this past event).  So far, it has been confirmed that 16 European countries will be taking part with several more not yet decided.  In addition, the event is rumoured to see performances from Robbie Williams, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.  And if things go to plan including the unconfirmed album release, then this may well be the first chance to see Ronan perform his new tunes!  If any more information comes to light, we'll tell you here at Ronan Keating World.  So come back soon!

8/9/2003 - brief details about the new album

6:30pm BST

According to some sources, they claim that Ronan's as yet untitled album may be released on 17th November 2003.  We cannot confirm or verify that this is the final date as yet since it is still too early to say.  But as soon as more details unfold, we will tell you here at Ronan Keating World.

5/9/2003 - it's going to be one super disc!

6:56pm BST

Ronan's next album is going to be a really special album indeed as it will be one of very few albums to appear in a new CD format called Super Audio CD!  Other artists such as Sting and Texas are also going to have their albums in this format.  But what is a Super Audio CD?  Well it is a brand new format of the standard CD created by Sony and Philips and uses a new recording technology called Direct Stream Digital which is in technical terms able to produce a much higher frequency range than a standard CD.  In short, it sounds much better than your standard CD because it sounds as original from the day it was recorded!  And just in case your wary about Super Audio CD's, well they will play in your CD players as they are backwards compatible!  So get ready to hear the real Ronan come out as his album arrives end of the year!

3/9/2003 - another album update

6:34pm BST

We are still awaiting information about Ronan's forthcoming album which is due for release at the end of this year.  Ronan is busy doing finishing touches to what will be an exciting album indeed.  He has worked with many writers on this album including songwriting and producing team, The Matrix which have previously worked with Ronan on some b-side tunes which feature on the 'Life Is A Rollercoaster' single: 'Since 13', 'You' and 'Thank God I Kissed You' which are equally excellent tunes!  Also Ronan has worked with long writing partnership, ex-New Radical Gregg Alexander once again, so expect another set of exciting tunes from him, plus Ronan has worked with Rob Davis who has worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue and Atomic Kitten.  So with all this coming along, this is probably going to be one of the best Ronan albums to come out!!!  Keep coming back for more info!
