18/8/2003 - getting there...

It may seem all too quiet at the moment but Ronan is currently in the studio recording material for his brand new album!  Although nothing has been officially confirmed, there is speculation that the album will be out sometime in November with a single to be release just before the album!!!  It is still early days but we are very sure that it will be all worth the wait eventually!  So keep coming back to Ronan Keating World as more of the details unfold.

12/8/2003 - golf welcomes ronankaddy!

Ronan has three favourite pastimes, music listening, Harley Davidson motorbikes and golf!  But what if there was something that could combine all three together so that Ronan has the ultimate pastime?  Well a company called PowaKaddy based in Kent, UK provided the solution at the Annual Golf Day organised by the Marie Keating Foundation.  David Wells who works for PowaKaddy unveiled two special RonanKaddies to Ronan who was impressed by the specification of these unique golf trolleys!   Here's the specification:
- fully remote controlled
- a special Harley Davidson emblem on the trolley wheels
- a mini-disc sound system on the handle which the allows tracks to be changed at a touch of a button with accompanying headphones
- a whiskey dispenser which allows a full bottle of Ronan's favourite: Jack Daniel's as well as an ice flask and two glasses!
- ...and finally, of course, hold all his golf clubs and necessary equipment!

With all this top-notch gear, what did Ronan have to say about all that: "This is the coolest piece of golf equipment I have ever seen! It’s got everything and it’s great not have to pull a trolley anymore."  Ronan owns one of the RonanKaddies while the other went to charity and raised £2,000.

11/8/2003 - westlife wedding invites ronan!

Yesterday (Sunday 10th August), Ronan and his wife, Yvonne attended a private wedding of Westlife star Nicky Byrne (pictured) and Georgina Ahern, Bertie Ahern's daughter in Gallardon, France just outside Paris.  The wedding ceremony took place 2:00pm (CET) in the afternoon.  Other celebrities that attended included Nadine Coyle and Kimberly Walsh of Popstars fame, Girls Aloud in which Nadine performed too, Nicki Chapman (known well as a judge for reality music TV show, Pop Idol) and of course the other Westlife band members, Shane Filan, Bryan McFadden, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily.  There were several performances during the ceremony, Ronan sang the Boyzone hit, 'I Love The Way You Love Me', and Girls Aloud star Nadine sang Sting's 'Fields Of Gold' and 'Because You Loved Me', a hit for Celine Dion.  Although the ceremony went fine inside, there was supposed opposition and rage outside as many felt that the event was 'invading' their village.  The photo crew from Hello! Magazine were also there at the event.

7/8/2003 - lovin' it in the park!

Have you seen the Busch Gardens TV adverts (in the UK) recently?  As you may have heard from the advert, Ronan's tune 'Lovin' Each Day' is featured in it and it sounds great!  Busch Gardens as many of you may know is a huge theme park based in Tampa Bay, Florida, US and Williamsburg, Vancouver, US.  These theme parks are fantastic and offer everyone fun and excitement including fantastic rides and the animal zoos too!  For more information about this attraction and how to visit this fantastic park, visit the Busch Gardens website by clicking here!  We are sure there will be more Ronan tunes featured in ads in the future, if so, watch this space!

5/8/2003 - breaking out!

Ronan is taking a short break from recording his eagerly awaiting third album due to come out at the end of the year!  He's spent time since early June recording material in the US, Ireland and the UK collaborating with writers and producers including The Matrix, Gregg Alexander and Rob Davis.  He'll be back in the studio next week.  Keep coming back to RKW for further updates of the forthcoming new material!  Ronan deserves a break, come on!

4/8/2003 - ronan and keith clear the air

According to a recent report from the Irish Sun newspaper, Ronan and ex-Boyzone member Keith Duffy have made up on what was a very friendly meeting between the pair (picture on the left shows proof!  [Source: Showbiz Ireland]).  It was reported last month that the two had a bust up after a couple of drinks in a night club after the film premiere of 'Veronica Guerin'.  But they were chatting again at the Miss Ireland event last Friday (2nd August).  Upon posing pictures, Keith said: "Sure that's no problem."  He added: "We said hello when he [Ronan] came in.  I'll pose for a picture with Ronan anytime."  Ronan told the Irish Sun that Keith and him were best of mates: "I'd really like to have a chat with Keith and clear the air."  Louis Walsh was also present at the event as there was evidence that things were okay with Ronan as they hugged.  Louis said: "Look, I told you that we were still talking".  With all the rumours that things were getting sour, it looks clear that everyone was happy with what they were doing.

1/8/2003 - ronan does a runner

Ronan has given his full support on BUPA's Great Ireland Run to take place on Sunday 5th October in Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland.  Famous runner, Sonia O'Sullivan (pictured left) and Ronan launched the event earlier last month (16th July).  The run is 10 kilometres long and participants are encouraged to raise funds for local charities.  These include Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children and the Marie Keating Foundation.  For more information about this event, visit the Great Ireland Run website by clicking here.
