25/4/2001 - no boyzone tour according to ronan

9:00pm BST

BoyzoneRonan appeared to make it clear that a reformed Boyzone tour in the near-future anyway may never happen.  Originally plans were for all the members of Boyzone: Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy, together with Keating, to pursue solo work before reuniting to perform on-stage together in a £4 million tour.  However, change of events have seen Ronan's own solo career excel while other members have had less luck.  Speaking to Michael Parkinson on the presenter's own chat show, 'Parkinson' on BBC television, Ronan admitted of Boyzone: "I can't see it coming back together.  I had every intention - I still have every intention - of going back with the band and doing a tour.  It wasn't going to happen this year because I had my album launching in America so I thought about doing it next year.  But a lot has gone on and I haven't talked to the guys in quite a while, so to be really honest, I don't think anything's going to happen with the band."  Previously, Ronan had avoided making any formal announcements that Boyzone as a whole was over.

29/3/2001 - mikey attacks ronan over abandonment of boyzone

11:00pm BST

Mikey GrahamBoyzone member, Mikey Graham (pictured left) has made it clear of his unhappiness with lead, Ronan Keating regarding the future of Boyzone.   Speaking to Independent Radio News, Mikey Graham voiced the distance that he and Ronan now have:  "He doesn't phone, he doesn't call, he doesn't write. He's just looking in a different direction.  The boys aren't too happy with him. It's not really a good thing to do - it took five people to make Boyzone and five people to make Ronan Keating.  We were supposed to do a tour at the end of the year for the fans and there was £4 million involved. And he turned round and said he didn't want to do it."  Mikey also felt that a new Boyzone reunion, if ever it happens would need to adopt a new image: "If Boyzone ever come back together then, yes, I would be interested, but it would have to be a different Boyzone for me.  If I successfully establish myself as a credible singer-songwriter I'm not going to go back prancing around the stage, that kid stuff, you know?"  Mikey's own solo career has been suffering from a lack of airplay of his single releases in the UK.  Mikey has just released his new album, 'Meet Me Halfway' and his latest single 'You Could Be My Everything'.  He already released a single, 'You're My Angel' last year.

28/3/2001 - macgowan and keating in collaboration

11:00pm BST

The PoguesRonan will be collaborating with Shane MacGowan, lead singer of The Pogues (pictured left) whose hit, 'Fairytale Of New York' was covered by Ronan on his 'The Way You Make Me Feel' single release back at the end of last year.  It is said that MacGowan was happy with the cover version Ronan released and that the two would be closely working together on future songs.

20/3/2001 - graham feels ronan has slammed the door

11:00pm GMT

Mikey Graham of Boyzone has heavily blamed Ronan for the abandonment of a forthcoming reunion tour that would have seen the boyz pick up £4 million.  Speaking to Live & Kicking Magazine, Graham stated: "It took five people to make Boyzone and five people to make Ronan what he is today.  It shows his true colours. He left us four out in the cold. I'm not too bothered, I've got my own career and I'm secure, but the others might need the money. Well, everybody needs the money, we're talking £4 million...He's slammed the door in everybody's faces. He won't have have won any friends."

15/3/2001 - ronan pursues collaborative single

10:00pm GMT

Craig DavidRonan has voiced his desire to record a single that would feature him alongside big name acts: Robbie Williams and Craig David (pictured left).  Ronan felt that it would help break claims over any competitive tension between the three singers and that it could be part of a charitable project.  "I think it would be a really cool thing to do for me, Robbie and maybe Craig David.  I think that at the minute the three of us are the male solo artists who are out there and I think it would be a really great idea. It would squash all this crap about the competition between us" said Ronan to Worldpop.  "Craig would get his little bit of the old R&B thing in there and Robbie could do a bit of the rockier stuff and I could fill in the pop as well. It would be pretty good you know. I think it would be amazing."
