15/2/2004 - back in top form!

Ronan has made a comeback in the charts!  Thanks to you the fans, Ronan's latest single, 'She Believes (In Me)' entered the UK Number 2 position this week!  We would like to congratulate Ronan upon entering such a fantastic position!  Many other good releases were out, including the Stereophonics which entered at no.5 and Fatman Scoop which entered at no.9, but this single release just shows Ronan's here to stay for a long time to come!!!  The final UK Top 10 positions are shown below.  But once again, well done to Ronan!  For more information about the single, check out our Singles Discography for all the release details!  If you haven't got the single yet, then don't hesitate to buy, because it's a fantastic love song (believe us!).

13/2/2004 - having a morning chat

Ronan spoke to This Morning on their website on Wednesday about the new single, 'She Believes (In Me)' as well as other things!  The song 'She Believes (In Me)' was sung famously by Kenny Rogers, but of course, this version has been changed as the verses have been rewritten by Ronan and Paul Barry.  Ronan reasons: "It's actually about a failed singer-songwriter!  We changed the lyrics because it was a little bit negative, a little bit old fashioned.  It's about this guy who's out on the road and his girl is always there for him when he comes home."  Next was about Ronan's current album, 'Turn It On'.  It has sold almost 300,000 copies in the UK alone and outside about 800,000 copies making this album a million seller!  Ronan of course wrote most of the album and talked about what ideas of songs inspired him: "When I was writing this album, I'd sit and watch people for hours jotting ideas down on paper.  Then I'd go home and write a song about them.  I feel very proud of this album, it's going to attract a whole new audience." 

What's Ronan up to next, well it's about Ronan's role in the forthcoming movie, 'Guns, Money And Home Cooking' which is due to be shot for six weeks starting April.  And then a tour which begins in September through to October in the UK.  Ronan also discussed plans to release the next single, 'Last Thing On My Mind' - a duet with LeAnn Rimes: "She has a beautiful voice and I love the country sound she brings to the song."  The song is actually about a relationship going sour.  Ronan however has avoid this in his relationship with wife, Yvonne: "Yvonne and I promised each other when we first started dating, and again when we got married, that we'd always give each other time, even when the kids were born.  So every now and then we get on a plane, the two of us, and go away for a weekend or even a single night.  And I think that's one of the things that keeps our relationship so healthy."

Finally, Ronan is planning to set up his own record label.  He has invested £1 million to build a recoding studio in Dublin, Ireland and call the label, Rollercoaster Records.  The aim of the record label is to give young singers and bands a chance to show their talent.  Ronan said: "I was so tired looking at all the Pop Idol acts and one hit wonders who are in the business."

It's looking good for Ronan!  According to some sources, midweek sales indicate that Ronan's new single, 'She Believes (In Me)', which is out now, is currently the UK No.2!  This is fantastic and shows that Ronan is in top form once again!  If you haven't already got the single yet, make sure you do!  There has to be as much support as possible, keep it up and who knows it may even enter the top spot by the weekend!!!  And just in case you want to know what is on the single, well the single is released on 2 CDs and a DVD - CD 1 contains a live acoustic version of 'Lovin' Each Day' plus videos of  'She Believes (In Me)' and a live version of 'First Time'.  CD 2 is a limited edition CD containing the UK No.1 hit, 'If Tomorrow Never Comes'.  And finally the DVD single contains audio tracks plus video footage including the promo videos of 'She Believes (In Me)' and 'The Long Goodbye' plus exclusive behind the scenes of 'She Believes (In Me)'.

5/2/2004 - ronan treats the jungle!

Yesterday (4th February) on the reality ITV show, 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!', two celebrities, Kerry McFadden (former Atomic Kitten member) and Peter Andre (famous singer of the 90s) went out to fetch the Celebrity Chest.  Open returning to the camp, Ronan had left a gift which the whole team decided to open.  And very nice it was for Ronan to treat them to whiskey, cream, sugar and coffee to make that wonderful Irish Coffee.  However, some of the cream went to the rice to make rice pudding!!!  Kerry (pictured in the jungle camp) even kissed the Ronan face that was in the chest - Ro, you are loved in the jungle!!!
