In real demand! |
|
 |
22/12/2003, 7:10pm GMT
It appeared on the night when Atomic Kitten were
due on stage for the opening of Millennium Place in
Coventry, UK that they asked for a huge list of items
in their dressing room!!! The items on demand
included food and drink including some pink champagne,
sweets and some Playdoh for Tash's son Josh to play
with!!! With the amount of items asked, it was
enough to invite everyone for a party!!! With
the amount asked, it appears the bill had run to a
total of £15,000. City centre manager, CV One
supplied the goods and Hilary Hopker described what
happened: "We crossed off scented candles because lit
flames were not allowed in case the place was set on
fire. I have to say they took most of the stuff
with them - there was no pink champagne left, which
was gutting because we wanted it. There is a
phrase in the business which goes 'no Moet no show-ay,
no Chandon no band-on.' I don't know how much it cost
but it was all based on wholesale prices.
Natasha came with her 18-month-old child. They did
play with the Playdoh because there were finger marks
left in it. It's always the measure of the size
of a band, and the more famous the artist the more
complicated or elaborate the rider, so it was not a
surprise to us. It is definitely one of the largest
riders we have had. Others have been about half the
size of that." |

Kittens wow Coventry! |
|
 |
16/12/2003, 6:30pm GMT
Atomic
Kitten wowed the crowds last Saturday (13th December
2003) as they performed in a free pop concert in
Coventry, UK to celebrate the opening of Millennium
Place. The open air event saw a crowd of 3,000
people come from all over the city to see the
spectacular scenes!!! A huge list of artists
performed including Twen2y 4 Se7en - a new boyband
doing very good dance moves, then Kombat Breakers,
Coventry's own boyband did somehow a much better job
and got greater reception! Alistair Griffin, the
runner-up from Fame Academy was on-stage to perform
his new single. Lisa Maffia wowed the crowd as
she came on stage with 'All Over' that got the crowd
cheering even louder!!! And the Fast Food
Rockers were something of a fun bunch giving the
crowds one good party! The non-Popstars: The
Rivals winners, Phixx proved popular as they performed
and the crowds were screaming! Wayne Williams,
ex-Another Level member did a good job too but the
highlight of the night must be Atomic Kitten!
They do what they do best as they got the biggest
reception of the night, waving at fans, they performed
chart hits including 'Whole Again' and 'The Tide Is
High (Get The Feeling)'. It was a fantastic
night even though it rained, but that didn't stop the
crowds enjoying themselves did it?!

For Jen, it's all down to Westlife! |
|
 |
12/12/2003, 7:00pm GMT
 Jen
spoke recently to the Belfast Telegraph about how it
was thanks to boyband, Westlife that she is in Atomic
Kitten today: "I was in a band called Precious and was
very friendly with the Westlife boys. They
introduced me to the girls [Tash and Lil] and, as
Kerry [McFadden] was leaving the band, they were
looking for someone else. The rest is history.
Mind you, our paths would have crossed at some time,
I'm sure of that, but I'm delighted I met them when I
did." Jen also admitted that she would love to
have a baby like ex-Kitten Kerry has: "I'm very
broody, but just not ready at the moment". She
also spoke about what the Kittens will be doing next
year: "2004 will be a very busy year for us with our
tour and we're planning to spend some time in the
States as well." And finally when she winds
down, it's music: "I listen to all sorts of music, but
right now, I'm into Coldplay, Nirvana and Jamie
Cullen". |
