Get a dedicated tree in a Kitten forest!!!
13/12/2002, 6:30pm GMT
Atomic Kitten have played their part to help the environment by having their own forest of thousands of trees in association with Future Forests which have been planted as a result of their two albums, 'Feels So Good' and 'Right Now' being CarbonNeutral.  This sees trees planted which in turn take up carbon dioxide and this helps reduce carbon dioxide emission from the production of the CDs.  The Atomic Kitten forest lies on the Isle Of Skye in Barabhaig.  But now's your chance to have a tree in this special Atomic Kitten forest dedicated to you or someone else you know!!!  You can find out more about this and the special competition at the Official Atomic Kitten website by clicking here!!!

Making it to one of the top!!!
8/12/2002, 6:00pm GMT
Well done to Atomic Kitten for a brilliant top position in yesterday night's live ceremony of this year's Record Of The Year!!!  They came 5th with their No.1 hit single, 'The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)' scoring 91 points and beating off competition from singles: 'Kiss Kiss' from Holly Valance, 'Just A Little' from Liberty X, 'Whenever Wherever' from Shakira, 'Hero' from Enrique Iglesias and 'A Little Less Conversation' from Elvis vs Junkie XL.  The Kittens were overtaken by winner, Gareth Gates with 'Unchained Melody', Will Young with 'Evergreen', Ronan Keating with 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' and Darius with 'Colourblind'.  Starting off with all ten finalists, the list was wound down to seven with the three lowest voted being eliminated (namely Holly Valance, Shakira and Liberty X) then the list shortened by another two (with Enrique Iglesias and Elvis vs Junkie XL being eliminated in this second stage) leaving five finalists to battle it out for the title which included Atomic Kitten.  The show which was presented by Ant & Dec and which saw the public cast their votes to decide the winner was also the place to see all the contenders perform their singles including the Kittens who looked absolutely great on the night.  Again well done to Atomic Kitten!!!  Here are the final results...
  Artist & Single

Points

Gareth Gates - 'Unchained Melody' 134
Will Young - 'Evergreen' 132
Ronan Keating - 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' 132
