Lil feared Tash may quit |
|
 |
29/6/2002, 8:00am
BST
Speaking on the subject of her
pregnancy, Tash revealed to OK! magazine
of Lil's fear that a band split was
imminent. It was said that after
Tash told the other Kittens that she was
pregnant, Lil was afraid that Tash would
be leaving Atomic Kitten just like Kerry
had done when she was due to have her
baby last year. Tash explained how
she broke the news to Lil and Jen on the
night of their first Right Now Tour gig
back in late February 2002: "After we
came off stage from our first tour night
in Manchester, I summoned them into the
room for a private meeting with our
manager and went - 'Girls, I have
something very important to tell you -
I'm gonna be a mum!'" The response
was not totally what Tash expected with
Lil showing signs of fear: "Jenny just
looked at me yelled some expletive while
Liz's face dropped completely.
After I was bombarded with loads of hugs
from Jen, Liz was still in a state of
shock and I went : 'Don't worry, I'm not
leaving the band.' The poor girl
was petrified - you could see it in her
face. 'Oh no - not again!'" Tash
is definitely determined to stay on with
the Kittens reassuring everyone
(including Lil!) that the trio will be
no less and will be taking her new son,
Josh out on tour: "As a popstar, you're
self-employed, you get to choose how
much work you want to do and so on, and
I can bring Josh with me whenever I want
- no rule says my child is unable to
come to work with me. He's going
to be an international jet-setter come
Christmas anyway." Tash is
expecting her new child with fiancé,
Fran Cosgrove, former security guard for
all-male group, Westlife, in August.
She'll be working to the very last
minute before she takes maternity leave
for around two months to spend time with
Josh and Fran. Recently it was
revealed that at the massive open-air
gig, 'Party In The Park' 2002, at Hyde
Park, London, UK, where the Kittens will
be performing on the 7th July 2002,
precautionary measures will be taken
with a doctor and midwife on hand
backstage if Tash should give birth
early. |
