live in liverpool!

Lil was live on Liverpool's Radio City's Breakfast Show last Monday (29th March) and she entertained presenter Kev Seed who has been a Kitten supporter!  After the show, she met fans and had little chat.  After the show, she spoke about the latest single, 'Someone Like Me'/'Right Now 2004' (which is out now!): "Oh, and the single came out today!  I love the pic that on the sleeve - all three of us look really nice. It's a bit sad to think that this is our last single for a bit, but we'll be back!".  Well there you have it, but support the Kittens and get that single as it will be a long wait!!!

Here are details of both the album and DVD!

- 'The Greatest Hits' Album: The album will be released on 5th April 2004 and contains 15 tracks including the number 1 hits, 'Whole Again', 'Eternal Flame' and 'The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)' plus all their other hits plus the fan favourite, 'You Are' and the Japanese hit, 'Cradle'.  'Right Now 2004' is actually going to be released on the album and not the original 'Right Now' tune that was released back in 1999.  Plus, 'Follow Me' is not included as this did not enter the UK top 10.  The final tracklisting is shown below - note that the order of the tracklist has now changed.

- 'The Greatest Hits' DVD/Video: Many of you Kitten fans will have gone to the recent 'Greatest Hits' Tour 2004 back in February and earlier this month. Well good news, to remind you of the tour, Atomic Kitten will be releasing all the best bits live on DVD and it will be out on 19th April 2004!  The live footage is taken form the gig at Wembley Arena in London, UK.  As well as this, are all the best bits form the Kittens over the years plus for the first time, the video for 'Cradle' which was never released anywhere else except Japan is also included!!! Here are the official full details of Atomic Kitten's forthcoming new double a-side single, 'Someone Like Me'/'Right Now 2004' to be released on 29th March 2004!  The single will be released on a 2 track CD and a maxi enhanced CD.  The 2 track CD contains the double a-side tracks while the maxi-enhanced CD contains a brand new track written by Jen plus the video to 'Right Now 2004' and behind the scenes shots from the 'Someone Like Me' video, live tour pictures taken from the Greatest Hits Tour 2004, lyrics and a downloadable album wallpaper!!!  The final tracklist is shown below!  So get ready because it is only a week away!!!

Here's the news you have been all waiting for!  We have full details of Atomic Kitten's 'Greatest Hits' album due out on 5th April 2004!  The album contains 15 tracks with all their hits including the three UK No.1's 'Whole Again', 'Eternal Flame' and 'The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)' as well as favourites such as 'The Last Goodbye', 'If You Come To Me' and 'Right Now'.  The artwork is shown on the left.  A few things to note about this album, the top 20 hit, 'Follow Me' has not been included in this album as it is the only single to have not entered the top 10. Also, the fan favourite, 'You Are' has been included plus the Japanese hit single, 'Cradle' which was never released in the UK.  Also, there are no new tracks on this album, all of the tracks are hits.  And finally, 'Right Now 2004' will be only released with the double a-side single with 'Someone Like Me' out 29th March 2004 - so this will be a good reason to get the forthcoming new single!!!  The full tracklist is shown below, note that the songs are all single remixes.

kerry gets caught out!

Did anyone watch 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway' last Saturday night (13th March) on ITV1 (UK)? We'll you would have seen ex-Atomic Kitten Kerry McFadden caught out in one of Ant & Dec's Undercover practical jokes!   The prank beings when Kerry is to give a cheque for the Nurse Of The Year award given by the ITV daytime show, This Morning.  The nurse is actually Ant disguised and Dec is the patient covered in plaster.  When Kerry arrives at the scene, she doesn't immediately recognise the duo and thinks there is nothing wrong, when the nurse leaves the room, Kerry had to hold the drip bag for quite a long while, still nothing strange!  The wife of the patient comes to around and asks why the cheque is to be given to the nurse as she is actually doing a rubbish job!  Then suddenly the This Morning crew come along to present the cheque to the nurse, was Kerry going to give it to her?  But then Kerry found out it was all a joke and couldn't believe that she got caught out!!!  Ant McPartlin commented on his role: "I did have nice sensible nurse's shoes so I didn't need to struggle with high heels.   It's me that seems to be dressing up as a lady in this series. It was Dec's turn last series so I guess it's only fair!  The weirdest bit about the whole thing was having to shave my hands. I'm a hairy person and that wouldn't do for nurse Cheryl.  It's one of those things you think you'll never have to do. It was a bit embarrassing when I went to the gym the next day, I looked like I was wearing a hairy jumper."  Meanwhile Declan Donnelly said that is role wasn't simple: "I'm lying there in plaster, which you'd think was an easy job, but you can't do anything and you can't go anywhere. I was lying there for a couple of hours."

We have got some provisional tracklistings provided by some online music stores for the forthcoming double a-side single, 'Someone Like Me'/'Right Now 2004' out 29th March 2004.  The better artwork is shown on the left.  The single will be released on 2 CDs and it will consist of a 2 track CD and a maxi enhanced CD.  The 2 track CD will contain both a-side tracks, the maxi-enhanced is to contain a brand new track and the video for 'Right Now 2004' but the video for 'Someone Like Me' is not featured.  The list is shown below.  This is not final confirmation yet and may change, but as soon as official details come through, we'll have it all here at Atomic Kitten Active - so come back very soon!!!

It has been officially announced that Atomic Kitten's 'Greatest Hits' will be released on 5th April 2004!  This album features all of the Kittens hits including the number 1 hits, 'Whole Again', 'Eternal Flame' and 'The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)' as well as classics including 'The Last Goodbye', 'It's OK!' and the fan favourite, 'You Are'!  And of course will include the forthcoming double A-side single, 'Someone Like Me'/'Right Now 2004' coming out on 29th March 2004!  There are no details as yet of the artwork or tracklistings, but as soon as more details are revealed, we will tell you here at Atomic Kitten Active, so come back soon!

all was well in the kitten camp!

On Tuesday (9th March), it wasn't a great night for Atomic Kitten in the first of two concerts in Ireland, the show in Dublin did go ahead but without the presence of Tash who fell ill.  Jen and Lil were on stage though to continue the show and the audience were as ever supportive and sympathetic.  But after half an hour into the show, Jen showed signs of sickness and frequently was on and off the stage and she explained to the audience of the situation, but she was still up there and Lil helped out whenever she could to make the show go on...and to end off the show, three lucky fans got a chance to sing along to 'Whole Again' on stage!  No fan was disappointed after that night.  But yesterday (10th March), when the gig took place in Belfast, all was well in the Kitten camp and the three Kittens, Tash, Lil and Jen were all back in action and performed in true quality!  The audience there loved it and they especially loved the number 1 hit, 'Whole Again'!  They did the fans proud and gave their reassurance that this is not the end of Atomic Kitten by saying "See you next year!" - every fan awaits your return!!!

saying the last goodbye in liverpool

On Sunday (7th March), Atomic Kitten played to audience of a couple of a hundred people in an intimate gig at the Barfly Club in their home town of Liverpool, UK.  This gig is a series of gigs as part of the 'Passport: Back To The Bars' in aid for the charities shelter and Warchild.  This event took place while the Kittens were on their current Greatest Hits Tour.  They played a seven track set including a string of hits that included: 'The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)' with the dancers joining them for this starter including Tash's boyfriend, Gavin Hatcher.  The Kittens wanted the audience to participate on what was going to be their last gig in Liverpool.  Next came the hits including, 'The Last Goodbye', 'Right Now' and to end the evening, 'Ladies Night'.  Tash said to the crowd: "We want to thank you to everyone in Liverpool for all their support over the years."  At the after show party, Tash spoke to press about this particular gig saying: "We won't forget it.  It was a great way to go out." We hope that many of you that have gone to Atomic Kitten's Greatest Hits Tour has had an enjoyable time!  But here's something else to look forward to!  The Official Atomic Kitten Website has revealed artwork to the forthcoming double A-side single, 'Someone Like Me/Right Now 2004' to be released on 29th March 2004!  We'll try to get a bigger version up on this site very soon!  There are no further details though, but track lists will follow very soon!  and don't forget, you can see the 'Right Now 2004' video on music TV channel, The Box - select number 317!
