     Number one for Whole Again?
30/1/2001, 11:00pm GMT
It looks likely that Atomic Kitten could get their first UK No.1 single!  Let's hope so!  Fingers-crossed!  'Whole Again' has been confirmed as outselling one other chart rival, 'Stuck In A Moment (You Can't Get Out Of)' from huge band U2 by around 1,000 copies within the first day of sale yesterday.  Such is the success of sales of 'Whole Again', extra copies of the single have had to be rapidly despatched to shops across the country.  A spokesperson for the Kittens said "We weren't expecting it ['Whole Again'] to do this well but it's great".  'Whole Again' is out now!!!

Atomic Kitten says goodbye to Kerry

19/1/2001, 9:00pm GMT
It has been officially announced that original Atomic Kitten member, Kerry Katona will be leaving the band permanently.  This comes in light of the recent announcements that Kerry is expecting her first child with Westlife member, Bryan McFadden.  The two also only recently announced they would be marrying later on in the year.  Originally, the replacement for Katona, Jenny Frost from Precious was to fulfil a temporary role in the Kittens but this looks like becoming a permanent thing.  The managament for Atomic Kitten issued a statement saying: "Since she decided to leave the band Kerry has worked closely with us, Liz and Natasha to find the right person to replace her - a tall order we know, but we do feel we have found a true star in Jenny Frost".  The statement continues: "The Kittens team is a very closely-knit family and we were all thrilled with the news of Kerry's pregnancy and completely understand her decision to put the well-being of her unborn child first".  Kerry is set to leave the band once the 'Whole Again' single promotion is complete.

18/1/2001, 9:00pm GMT
In light of a turn of events for Atomic Kitten member, Kerry Katona, the group have had to find a replacement member.  In NME.com, it was announced that the likely new member will be Jenny Frost.  Jenny made her first appearance in a new pop grouping, Precious.  Precious went on to do battle with other European entrants in the continent's song equivalent of a formula one grand prix, the 'Eurovision Song Contest' back in 1999.  The pop group went on to release singles and an album but quickly diminished.  Jenny will fulfil a temporary role in the Kitten formation while Kerry is on maternity leave.
